Senator Abdullahi Adamu on Wednesday dismissed the allegation that he mismanaged funds belonging to the Northern Senators Forum.
The former governor of Nasarawa state described the allegation as false and baseless.
The senators had sacked Adamu as its chairman on Wednesday, following allegations of misappropriating N70m belonging to the group.
Adamu is one of the nine senators who rejected the decision of the Senate to change the sequence of the general election.
He had argued that it was targeted at President Muhammadu Buhari.
But Senator Shehu Sani insisted Adamu was not being targeted because he disagreed with the decision of the Senate to change the sequence of elections in the Electoral Act.
