Manchester United have had a £35m bid for Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic rejected as the club look for another £10m on top of that.
The Croatian has been a long-term target of the Manchester club and Jose Mourinho has seemingly stepped up his pursuit of the player.
With a bid rejected, there is no indication of whether the Red Devils will return with a bid closer to that of Inter’s £44m asking price.
Regardless, the club are seemingly looking to make a huge splash in the summer transfer market.
Linked with moves for Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti, Manchester United are showing no signs of stopping in recruitment.
Following a successful Europa League campaign, the club will also have to deal with the Champions League and squad rotation.

Manchester United release Zlatan
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s time in Manchester has come to an abrupt end.
The Swedish star was released from the club officially this morning but will remain for rehabilitation.
Ibrahimovic suffered an ACL injury towards the beginning of the year and that has cut his time at the club short.
