The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has appointed Adedapo Segun as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), marking a key addition to the company’s leadership team.
In a statement released by NNPCL spokesperson Femo Soneye on Wednesday night and made available to Okay.ng, the company announced Segun’s elevation from his previous role as Executive Vice-President (EVP) of Downstream Operations, where he contributed significantly to the company’s success.
NNPC also named Isiyaku Abdullahi as Segun’s successor in the downstream arm, and appointed Udobong Ntia as the new EVP of Upstream Operations.
The company emphasized that these appointments reflect its commitment to strengthening corporate governance, boosting operational efficiency, and ensuring long-term success in Nigeria’s energy sector.
“The Board of Directors of NNPC Limited is pleased to announce a series of strategic leadership appointments. These changes reflect our continued dedication to enhancing corporate governance, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring long-term success in Nigeria’s energy sector,” the statement reads.
The company expressed gratitude to outgoing leaders, Mr. Umar Ajiya and Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa A. Eyesan, for their exemplary service to NNPC Limited.
“The Board and Management also extend their deepest appreciation to Mr. Umar Ajiya and Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa A. Eyesan for their outstanding dedication and service to NNPC Limited,” the statement added.
NNPC reiterated its commitment to operational excellence, global competitiveness, and financial sustainability while prioritizing the interests of Nigerians within the petroleum sector.
