Members of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) have taken the decision to suspend the nationwide strike that they embarked upon to press for their demands from the federal government.
Emeka Orji, the President of NARD, confirmed to Okay.ng on Friday that the decision to suspend the strike was made, and doctors are expected to resume their duties on Saturday at 8 am.
Orji further stated that the association will review the progress made in addressing their demands over the course of the next two weeks.
“We just suspended the strike. Work to resume at 8 am tomorrow. We will review progress made in two weeks,” said Orji.
