  1. EDUCATION: Our vision for Education. Without sound Education, there cannot be effective leadership. Without sound Education, there cannot be good health care delivery. Education in Nigeria remains one of the most underdeveloped sectors of this country. Schools are still grounded by strike, the reading culture is being overtaken by social media, and educational excellence has become a rare commodity. Kogi State in particular has seen a major crash in her quality of education in the last few years because of strike and nonpayment of salaries. This is not right. It has to change. We must make a quantum leap in restructuring our educational system from being a mere box for students gathering, to a citadel of learning, value and innovation. That is the sincere promise of Engr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Adama’s leadership. That Kogi State can lead the way in transforming education in Nigeria into a world class model, producing graduates capable of creating an emerging economy that will compete globally.

I will work for it in every step of the way.

  • Our core step dimensional Pyramid is to remodel education as a culture that will flourish creativity and innovation at every level of society.
  • We will ensure high quality teachers and professionalism of teaching in schools through training & re-training, workshop, seminar, capacity building, encouragement of certification and by instituting a program of continuous professional development.
  • I will support education to ensure a high standard of education in Kogi State. I will ensure that teachers receive training constantly to ensure they are up to date with the modern technology in the field of education.
  • I will create competitions amongst youths and make them appreciate their worth, I will ensure every youth gets what they deserve on merit and I will impact positively on their morals. Maintenance of schools is essential,
  • I will maintain all schools to ensure all the facilities at all levels of education are up to date.

Education monitoring teams will be deployed to ensure high standard of education at all times.

  1. AGRICULTURE: Our Vision on Agriculture is to prepare a 4-year agricultural template/blue print leveraging on the Federal Government’s existing plan focusing on the development of the State’s Food Basin to ensure Kogi State becomes self-sufficient in all stapled food (rice, cassava, maize, yam etc). Improve and expand the – College of- Agriculture Kabba into an Agro-institute similar to International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) to provide scientific research capable of enhancing the quality and quantity of the State agricultural produce. Creation of large agro-allied zones for commercial and mechanized farming located in the State’s Food Basin fully equipped with a comprehensive irrigation system, large industrial silos for secure storage and rural road infrastructures.

We will Create via PPP large agro-processing centers across the State, to provide quality consistency and promote exportation of produce from Kogi State.
