Nigeria has recorded 595 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, July 17th, 2020.
Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 23 states, and the FCT with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 156 cases.
The states with the 595 new cases are Lagos (156), Ondo (95), Rivers (53), Abia (43), Oyo (38), Enugu (29), Edo (24), FCT(23), Kaduna (20), Akwa Ibom (17), Anambra (17), Osun (17), Ogun (14), Kano (13), Imo (11), Delta (6), Ekiti (5), Gombe (4), Plateau (4), Cross River (2), Adamawa (1), Bauchi (1), Jigawa (1), and Yobe (1).
NCDC also announced that as of 11:40 pm on 17th July, there are 34,854 total COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Nigeria.
14,292 patients have been discharged with 769 deaths across the country.
