The Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released Babalele Abdullahi, Atiku’s son-in-law, who was arrested during the weekend.

Okay Nigeria reported that Abdullahi was arrested by the anti-graft commission for money laundry.

However, he was released this morning (Tuesday) which was confirmed by Segun Sowunmi, Atiku’s spokesman, on Twitter.

He tweeted on the development, “Atiku Abubakar’s son in-law has been released. That is the way to go. Thank you is in order.”

Although, no update on Uyi Giwa-Osagie, Atiku’s lawyer, has been provided.

Giwa-Osagie was also arrested in February by the EFCC for alleged money laundry which Atiku has lamented for his continued detention.
