The Flying Eagles of Nigeria has defeated Niger 1-0 to qualify for 2019 Fifa U20 World Cup in Poland.
NigeriaU20 edged the NigerU20 in their last group game of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.
With a goal scored by Ibrahim Alhassan in the 73rd minute, the Flying Eagles stunned the hosting team at the General Seyni Kountche Stadium in Niamey, Niger.
Nigeria has now gotten a place in the last eight of the U20 Afcon where they go head to head with either Ghana or Mali for a chance to reach the final.
After missing out of the 2017 edition staged in South Korea, the Flying Eagles make a come back the championship.
However, South Africa and Senegal are the other African countries who have made it to Poland 2019 to hold from 23 May to 15 June 2019.
