The Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council has denied recent claims that Governor Yahaya Bello has withdrawn his support for the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign, which aims to elect former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as President of Nigeria.

The council stated that the publication of these claims in a daily newspaper on Sunday was done in bad faith and an attempt to create chaos and distrust within the party.

In a statement, the Director of Media and Publicity for the Kogi State APC Campaign Council, Kingsley Fanwo, emphasized Governor Bello’s unflinching commitment to the campaign and his efforts to mobilize Kogites to deliver 95% of the state’s votes to Tinubu.

The statement also highlighted Bello’s role as National Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council, and his efforts to win the support of Nigerian youths for Tinubu.

According to the statement, Bello has been working tirelessly to ensure the success of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign, and has been a key figure in galvanizing support for Tinubu among Kogites and youths across Nigeria.

The statement also highlighted Bello’s recent efforts to register millions of youths, women, and people living with disabilities into the party, further emphasizing his dedication to the party and the campaign.

The APC also stated that Bello will continue to work hard for Tinubu’s resounding success in the February polls, despite attempts by some individuals to discredit his efforts and create a false sense of crisis within the party.

The council urged party members and supporters to disregard these false claims and continue to work towards the success of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign.

The council also pointed out that it is impossible for Governor Bello to withdraw his support for the campaign, as he is the National Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council and has been actively working to support the campaign.

The council also accused those who spread the false claims of being desperate to share in the glory of the campaign’s impending victory without contributing to the efforts, and called the claims a “spurious, malicious and badly delivered hatchet job”

Furthermore, the council also added that Governor Bello’s commitment to the campaign is not in doubt among committed stakeholders of the APC at all levels, and he is constantly on the drawing board, galvanizing Kogites and youths across Nigeria to massively support Tinubu, who he calls the President-in-Waiting.

The council said that this will definitely not go down well with open and veiled detractors of Tinubu, who would go to any length to paint a picture of crisis where there is absolutely none.

The Kogi State APC Campaign Council concluded stating that it is confident that Governor Bello will continue to work assiduously for the resounding success of Tinubu at the February polls, and urged party members and supporters to disregard the false claims and continue to work towards the success of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign.
