Everton striker Wayne Rooney has won November’s Premier League Goal of the Month award.
The former Manchester United man was given the award following his strike from his own half in the Merseyside team’s win over West Ham United.
Rooney had scored a hat trick in the match just before caretaker manager David Unsworth handed over to Sam Allardyce, who was watching from the stands at Goodison Park.
The former English international scored the goal in the 66th minute of the game.
West Ham’s goalkeeper Joe Hart’s long clearance landed in front of Rooney, who struck the ball back over his head and into the open net.
He has scored nine goals in 13 games since his return to his boyhood team. Five of these goals have come in his last four games.
