The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has opened its registration portal for private candidates ahead of the first series for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
WAEC’s Head of National Office, Olu Adenipekun, disclosed in a statement to Okay.ng that the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020 First Series would feature only 24 subjects and take place in mainly urban areas.
Adenipekun said that prospective candidates to check for available subjects and centres before registering for the examination.
“WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020 – First Series would mainly be an urban-based examination. Twenty-four (24) subjects would be available for the examination. Intending candidates are advised to visit the Council’s corporate website – www.waecnigeria.org – to confirm available examination towns and subjects before obtaining the registration PIN,” the statement read.
