Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has said that joining Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray on a season-long loan was an easy decision for him.

Osimhen, 25, officially signed with Galatasaray on Wednesday, and in a statement released on the club’s website, he explained that the move felt natural from the moment he learned of their interest.

“When I heard about Galatasaray’s interest, it was an easy decision for me,” Osimhen said. “I knew how big Galatasaray was, how much of a family it felt like. It has incredible fans.”

The forward also credited his compatriot and friend, Henry Onyekuru, who previously played for Galatasaray, for helping him make up his mind.

“Henry Onyekuru is my friend. He played for Galatasaray. He told me how great the club, the fans, and the people here are. So it was an easy decision for me,” Osimhen added.

The former Napoli star is eager to make his mark at the Turkish club and build a connection with the passionate Galatasaray supporters. “Now I hope that our fans will support me after every goal. I am waiting with excitement,” he said.
