Pastor Tunde Bakare, the Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC), has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to adopt humility and stop “playing God” in the affairs of the nation.

Speaking during a state of the nation broadcast on Sunday at the church’s auditorium in Ikeja, Lagos, Bakare expressed deep concern over the direction of Tinubu’s administration, stating that it is steering the nation adrift.

“Stop playing God,” Bakare said bluntly. “The current administration is steering the polity adrift. It is time for this government to embrace humility.”

While he acknowledged disagreements with President Tinubu’s leadership style, Bakare emphasized that his intention is not to condemn but to offer guidance.

“I do not wish for him to fail, but I must speak the truth. My message is to redirect, not to attack.”

Okay.ng reports that Bakare also raised concerns about the state of the legislature, describing it as a crumbling pillar under the weight of executive influence. He specifically criticized the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan by the National Assembly, describing it as an attempt to silence calls for accountability.

He called on Senate President Godswill Akpabio to publicly explain the decision and ensure that the National Assembly remains committed to transparency.
