Transfer News: Samuel Bastien joins Belgian giants Standard Liege from Chievo Veron

Standard Liege have completed the signing of Belgian midfielder Samuel Bastien from Chievo Verona for a fee reported to be around €3m.

The 21-year-old had been in Italy since 2015, first for Avellino and then Chievo Verona.

Bastien was bought from RSC Anderlecht for €1.3m in 2016, he has reportedly been sold for over double that figure – €3m plus another €1m in potential bonuses.

Bastien played 35 competitive games for Chievo, scoring two goals.
