President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of a new management team for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.
The announcement was made through a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
The newly appointed management team comprises;
- Gbenga Alade – the Managing Director/CEO
- Aminu Ismail – Executive Director,
- Adeshola Lamidi – Executive Director
- Lucky Adaghe – Executive Director
In the statement, Chief Ngelale emphasized President Tinubu’s expectations from the new appointees, calling for unwavering dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness.
“The President expects unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness from the new appointees so as to ensure that the operations of AMCON are more efficient, transparent, and in consonance with his determination to sanitize the nation’s financial system to maximize value and enhance investor confidence in the Nigerian economy,” the statement concluded.
