President Bola Tinubu has lauded the successful release of 287 individuals, including schoolchildren and teachers, who were abducted earlier this month in Kuriga, Chikun council area of Kaduna State.

Additionally, Tinubu commended the rescue operation on Saturday, which freed 17 pupils from Tsangaya Islamic School in Sokoto State. The efforts of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the security forces were particularly praised by the President for their dedication and effectiveness in both cases.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration is implementing comprehensive strategies to ensure the safety of educational institutions nationwide. He underscored the necessity of collaborative efforts between the federal and state governments, especially in matters concerning security.

Tinubu emphasized the significance of swift and coordinated action, stating that urgency, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication are pivotal for achieving positive outcomes in cases of mass abductions.
