The 20-year-old moved to the KCOM Stadium outfit on a temporary deal, his first experience and hopes to emulate his friend Tammy Abraham.
Ola Aina has revealed that Tammy Abraham ‘s exploits at Bristol City motivated him to make a similar move to Hull City.
The English-born Nigerian joined the Tigers on a temporary deal from Chelsea for the 2017/18 campaign.
Being his first experience away from the London side, the right-back said he had to draw from the positives of the loan spell his teammate at youth level had last season.
While Aina was given a tryout in Antonio Conte’s title-winning side, Abraham became a revelation for the Robins in the English second-tier netting 26 goals in 48 appearances – a feat which earned him a five-year deal with his parent club.
“We all support each other and we all hope for good seasons for each other,” Aina told club website.
“Seeing my good friend Tammy doing so well in the Championship last season is something that motivates me to do the same this season here at Hull.
“I’ve spoken to him about the benefits a loan move can have and he always talks now about the confidence that last season has given him. It was equally as good for his football and he says it has made him into a man really by moving away from home and living by himself. He’s given me plenty of advice and I can’t wait to get started.”
