Popular Nigerian music video director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori Smith, widely known as TG Omori, has disclosed that he recently underwent a failed kidney transplant.

The 29-year-old, who has been noticeably absent from the public eye, shared this distressing news with his followers on social media.

Earlier updates from TG Omori on X revealed that his only brother had volunteered to donate one of his kidneys in a bid to save his life.

“Yesterday my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again,” he wrote.

Alongside this message, Omori also posted images of himself on a hospital bed, receiving oxygen, with the caption, “keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”

In a heartbreaking update, TG Omori disclosed that the transplant, which took place at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, was unsuccessful.

He urged the public to pray for him as he faces this challenging period. “One year after my kidney crashed I just had a failed transplant at St. Nicholas Lagos. Pray for me,” he wrote on X.
