Taylor Swift is set to make her feature-length film directorial debut with a script she has written, according to reports in US media.

The film, which has been picked up by Searchlight Pictures, will mark a new creative venture for the singer-songwriter.

“Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller,” said Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield.

“It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”
