Transcorp Hotels Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Uzo Oshogwe as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025.

This transition marks the culmination of Dupe Olusola’s transformational leadership, which spanned over four years and nine months.

Dupe Olusola took the reins of Transcorp Hotels Plc at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time of significant uncertainty for the global hospitality industry. Her strategic leadership not only navigated the company out of the crisis but redefined the hospitality landscape in Nigeria and across Africa.

Under her stewardship, Transcorp Hotels achieved unprecedented growth, recording milestones in revenue and profitability despite global economic challenges. Olusola’s tenure was marked by groundbreaking initiatives, a focus on innovation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in guest experience.

Her participation in forums like the Africa Hospitality Investment Forum underscored her commitment to shaping the industry’s narrative around resilience, growth, and potential.

Her visionary leadership also garnered significant accolades for both the company and herself. Notably, Olusola was recognized as the Seven Stars Woman of the Year, becoming the second recipient of this prestigious award in its 12-year history. The award acknowledged her transformative impact and outstanding contributions to the African hospitality industry.

Under her leadership, Transcorp Hotels Plc earned nearly 40 prestigious awards, a testament to the company’s success and its alignment with international best practices.
