President Muhammadu Buhari has handed over two aircraft from the presidential fleet to the Nigerian Air Force, in line with his plans to cut down on expenditure.

The two helicopters were acquired by the Federal Government on October 20, 2014 and May 21, 2015 respectively, according to Presidency Office of Digital Engagement (PODE).

This is the second handover of aircraft from Presidential Air Fleet to Nigerian Air Force. The first handover was in 2015, shortly after President Muhammad Buhari took over, PODE said on its Twitter handle.
