The Plateau State Government has relaxed the curfew imposed on Jos-Bukuru, citing improved security conditions and responsible behavior from residents. The new guidelines, effective August 10, 2024, allow citizens to conduct lawful activities between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm daily until further notice.

According to a statement by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the decision was made after consultations with security agencies and aims to support economic activities while maintaining public order. Governor Caleb Mutfwang expressed gratitude to citizens for their cooperation and security personnel for their dedication.

The relaxation of the curfew is a positive step towards normalcy in the region, and the government urges residents to continue collaborating with security agencies to ensure safety and contribute to building a united and prosperous state.
