President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived the Rigasa Train Station in Kaduna to commission two additional locomotives and 10 coaches.
Buhari is accompanied by Governor Nasiru El-Rufai of Kaduna and his Kano State counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje.
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi said that the provision of additional coaches and locomotives is aimed at increasing rail traffic along the Abuja-Kaduna route and also to eliminate ticket racketeering by persons taking advantage of the shortage of coaches to extort innocent passengers.
The President is also expected to commission an Inland Dry Port at the Railway Yard in Kakuri, also in Kaduna.
