The Osun State Government has announced its approval of Monday, August 21, 2023, as a public holiday in honor of the annual Isese Day celebration.

Isese Day holds great significance for traditional religious worshippers in the state and serves as a day of commemoration and celebration of their cultural and spiritual heritage.

The government’s decision was communicated through a statement released by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, on Saturday.

The statement highlighted the state’s commitment to fostering unity, oneness, and religious harmony among practitioners of various faiths within Osun State.

“Finally, Mr Governor, while congratulating all traditional religion worshippers and wishing them happy celebrations on this occasion, also wishes to implore them to make the occasion not only peaceful and fun-filled but another opportunity to pray for the government and good people of Osun State.
