Nigeria’s former minister, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has lost her mother, Cecilia Ujubuonu aged 78.

Ezekwesili’s spokesperson, Ozioma Ubabukoh, made this announcement in a statement sent to Okay.ng on Monday evening.

According to statement, Madam Ujubuonu died in the late hours of Sunday due to cancer-related illness. It added that she died in the arms and home of her daughter, Ezekwesili, in Abuja.
