Number of dead persons in Gombe tanker explosion rises to 16

Reports reaching Okay Nigeria confirms that the number of persons killed in the tanker explosion that happened on Saturday has increased to 16.

Okay Nigeria had reported that a tanker explosion which happened along the Gombe-Biu bypass, leading to the lost of lives and also several were injured in the incident.

However, Musa Gyade, Assistant Director of Nurses at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe, confirmed to the rise of death on Sunday.

Gyade update on the incident said that 20 other victims sustained various degrees of burns are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

He then stated that 23 people were brought to the hospital, out of which three of them died while being treated and two more deaths were later recorded.
