Nigeria’s Wellington Jighere has been ranked as fifth best scrabble player in the world, according to the World English Language Scrabble Players Association (WESPA) ranking.
Jighere emerged winner of the World English-language Scrabble Players’ Association championship in 2015.
The latest WESPA ranking was released on Sunday.
It shows Malaysia’s Ganesh Asirvatham as first, Nigel Richards of New Zealand second and Australia’s David Eldar third.
America’s Conrad Bassett-Bouchard occupies the fourth spot.
Nigeria’s Eta Karo is ranked 13th while World former number two and current Nigerian National player, Moses Peter, is currently the 14th best player in the world, even as Opeyemi Oloro is ranked 15th.
