Nigerian rower, Chierika Ukogu continues to make hew record as she made it to the final of the Women’s Single Sculls Rowing event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
After initial postponement of the semi-finals due to bad weather, Ukogu in the first 1000m in the Semifinal C/D1 Single Sculls Rowing event on Friday, August 12.
She initially finished third with a 4:04.26.
With a total time of 8:18:55, she finished fourth which qualified her for the finals.
She will be competing in Final D of women’s Single Sculls Rowing event on Saturday, August 13 she will be in lane 4.
She took to Twitter to express her delight writing; “I honored all the training I’ve done over the past 18 months today, finished 4th in semis today and I’ll be racing in the D final tomorrow.
