The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced that students from an additional 22 state-owned tertiary institutions are now eligible to apply for student loans through its online portal.
This expansion follows a review by the Student Verification System committee.
Students from these newly approved institutions can now submit their loan applications via the NELFUND website at http://nelf.gov.ng.
Prior to this update, 86 state-owned institutions had already been cleared, bringing the total number of institutions whose students can access the loans to 108.
The newly approved institutions include:

- College of Education, Nsugbe
- Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University
- Delta State University, Abraka
- Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara
- Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti
- Kogi State University, Kabba
- Prince Abubakar Audu University
- Kwara State University
- Kwara State College of Health Technology
- Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna
- Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese-Ijebu
- Moshood Abiola Polytechnic
- Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo
- The Polytechnic, Ibadan
- Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki
- Rivers State University, Port Harcourt
- Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic
- Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery, Damaturu
