Manchester United have had a £35m bid for Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic rejected as the club look for another £10m on top of that.

The Croatian has been a long-term target of the Manchester club and Jose Mourinho has seemingly stepped up his pursuit of the player.

With a bid rejected, there is no indication of whether the Red Devils will return with a bid closer to that of Inter’s £44m asking price.

Regardless, the club are seemingly looking to make a huge splash in the summer transfer market.

Linked with moves for Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti, Manchester United are showing no signs of stopping in recruitment.

Following a successful Europa League campaign, the club will also have to deal with the Champions League and squad rotation.
