An Oredo Magistrates’ Court in Benin on Tuesday sentenced one Musa Baba, 33, to one-year imprisonment for defrauding one Moses Acheme of N140, 000.
The Magistrate, Mrs, M.C. Ojobo, sentenced Baba, to one-year imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to a two-count-charge bordering on fraud.

She said the sentence should run concurrently.
Earlier, the prosecutor, A.O. Enababor, told the Court that the accused committed the crime between Aug. 18 and 31, 2015.

He said the accused unlawfully obtained the sum of N140, 000 from the complainant that he would help him secure employment in the Nigerian Army.
The offence contravened sections 108 and 419 of the Criminal Code.
