Liverpool climbed top of the Premier League table on Sunday with a devastating 6-1 win over Watford.

Sadio Mane opened the scoring after a period of heavy domination from the hosts, glancing in a header from Philippe Coutinho’s cross.

The Brazilian then doubled Liverpool’s lead before Emre Can made it 3-0 before the break.

Roberto Firmino and Mane then scored in quick succession to ensure the Reds of the points, though Daryl Janmaat scored a consolation for Watford late on.

But Georginio Wijnaldum soon restored the hosts’ five-goal margin in what was a magnificent performance from Jurgen Klopp’s men.
