Landmark University Admission General Requirements

The minimum entry requirements for admission into Landmark University are credit passes in 5 subjects at the SSCE/GCE O’ Level/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language, Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study.

Candidates are also to note that, there are other requirements that may be specific to a College and/or a Programme. Visit “Degree Programmes” for more information.

UTME Prerequisites for Landmark University Admission

Candidates applying to Landmark University should note the following:

i) Candidates must have sat for the current year Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attained the prescribed cut-off marks as a statutory requirement for entry into Nigerian Universities.

ii) Applicants are strongly advised to ensure that their UTME subject combination qualifies them for their chosen programme in Landmark University.

iii) Candidates who did not choose Landmark University in the current year UTME are free to apply for admission into the University

iv) In addition to the above, Landmark University conducts a Post UTME Screening Exercise for all candidates seeking admission into the University.  Applicants may however, not be admitted without fulfilling the demands of the screening exercise.

Method of Application

  1. Visit Landmark University Admission application portal to complete the application payment form.
  2. Complete the application payment form with the necessary and accurate details.  Please note that your UTME registration number, a valid email address and GSM number will be required.
  3. After completing and submitting the application payment form, a preview of the application is display. Verify its authenticity and correctness, then click on “Pay” button to make payment.
  4. You will be redirected to the payment page where you are expected to make payment of N 5,000 application along with a processing charge depending on the payment channel selected. Please note that you will need an ATM Card (Verve, Visa, MasterCard or E-Tranzact Card) to complete your payment.
  5. After completing the payment, you will be redirected back to our admission portal and a message and sms containing your login credential and further details will be forwarded to the supplied email address and phone number respectively.
  6. You will be redirected to the payment page where you are expected to make payment of N 5,000 application along with a processing charge depending on the payment channel selected. Please note that you will need an ATM Card (Verve, Visa, MasterCard or E-Tranzact Card) to complete your payment.
  7. After completing the payment, you will be redirected back to our admission portal and a message and sms containing your login credential and further details will be forwarded to the supplied email address and phone number respectively.
  8. You are expected to return to the Admission application portal to login with the credentials, upload your passport (which must be in JPEG format and not more than 200KB in size) and complete your application form.
  9. After completing the application form, you are expected to submit and print out copies of the completed form, which contains the details supplied by you and your application form number.
  10. Please note that there will be POST-UTME screening exercise, which will take place at a later date to be announced. Further information will be communicated via the email address and phone number supplied when filling the application fee form.

Note: You are expected to upload the following documents and to come along with the original copies and photocopies of all necessary documents at resumption:

  • Printed Application Form
  • Copy of UTME Result Slip
  • Copy of ‘O’ Level results
  • 2 Passport Photographs
  • Original copy of sponsorship
  • Letter from your religious leader
  • Copy of Birth certificate
  • State of origin certificate
  • Clearance forms

School of Agriculture – College of Agricultural Sciences

B.Agric Agricultural Extension & Rural Development

Programme Duration: 5 years

UTME Criteria: Chemistry and any two of Biology, Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics.

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics or Economics or any Social Science subject.

B.Agric Agricultural Economics

Programme Duration: 5 years

UTME Criteria: Chemistry and any two of Biology, Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics.

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics or Economics or any Social Science subject.

Animal Science

Programme Duration: 5 years

UTME Criteria: Chemistry and any two of Biology, Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics.

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics or Economics or any Social Science subject.

Soil/Crop Science

Programme Duration: 5 years

UTME Criteria: Chemistry and any two of Biology, Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics.

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics or Economics or any Social Science subject.

School of Engineering – College of Science and Engineering

Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering

Programme Duration: 5 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other science subject (selected from Further Mathemetics,Agricultural Science, Biology, Technical Drawing, Food and Nutrition)

UTME Criteria: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

Chemical Engineering

Programme Duration: 5 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and either credit pass in  Further Mathemetics, Biology or Technical Drawing.

UTME Criteria: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

Civil Engineering

Programme Duration: 5 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other science subject (Further Mathemetics,Agricultural Science and Technical Drawing or any other recognized science subject))

UTME Criteria: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Programme Duration: 5 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and either credit pass in  Further Mathemetics, Biology or Technical Drawing.

UTME Criteria: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

Mechanical Engineering

Programme Duration: 5 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other relevant science subject.

UTME Criteria: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

School of Sciences – College of Science and Engineering

Biochemistry

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and one of the following Physics, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition.

UTME Criteria: Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.

Microbiology

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics or one of Further MAthematics, Technical Drawing, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition.

UTME Criteria: Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.

Computer Science

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry  and any one of the following: Biology, Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Data Processing, Further Mathematics

UTME Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics and Geography.

Industrial Chemistry

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one of the following Biology, Geography, Further Mathematics, Agricultural Science and Computer Studies.

UTME Criteria: Chemistry and any two science subjects from the following: Mathematics, Physics and Biology/Agricultural science.

Mathematics

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two science subjects or one one Science subject and one social Science subject.

UTME Criteria: Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Agricultural science, Computer Studies and Data Processing.

Physics

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two science subjects or one one Science subject and one social Science subject.

UTME Criteria: Mathematics, Physics and any other subject.

School of Business – College of Business and Social Sciences

Accounting

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Accounting, a Science/Social Science subject and any Commercial subject.

UTME Criteria: Mathematics, Economics and any other Commercial/Social Science subject.

Banking & Finance

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Economics,  any Commercial subject and at least a pass in a Science subject or a credit level pass in a Social Science subject.

Business Administration

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce, one Science/Social Science subject and anyother subject.

International Relations

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, History or Government or Civil Education and at least a pass in a Science subject or a credit level pass in a Arts/Social Science/Commercial subject.

UTME Criteria: Government or History plus two other Arts/Commercial/Social Science subject.

Political Science

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, History or Government or Civil Education and at least a pass in a Science subject or a credit level pass in a Arts/Social Science/Commercial subject.

UTME Criteria: Government or History plus two other Arts/Commercial/Social Science subject.

B.Sc. Sociology

Programme Duration: 4 years

O’Level Criteria: English Language, Mathematics, History or Government or Economics, any other subject and at least a pass in a Science subject or a credit level pass in a Arts/Social Science subject.

UTME Criteria: Government or History, one Social Science subject and any other subject.
