INEC Declares Umo Eno of PDP Winner of Akwa Ibom State Governorship Election

Umo Eno, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, has emerged as the winner of the March 18 governorship election in the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Prof Emmanuel Adigio, declared Eno as the winner after he polled a total of 354,348 votes.

Eno’s closest rivals in the election, Akanimo Udofia of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Uduakobong of the Labour Party (LP), scored 129,602 votes and 4,746 votes, respectively.
