Renowned Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, gracefully responded to losing her Guinness World Record title for the longest cooking marathon by an individual to Irish chef Alan Fisher.
Fisher recently surpassed Baci’s record, leaving an indelible mark on the culinary world.
In a recent tweet, the Guinness World Records announced Fisher as the newest titleholder, having cooked continuously for an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes, thereby exceeding Baci’s earlier record of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
The Irish chef’s extraordinary cooking prowess also earned him the record for the longest baking marathon, as he baked for 47 hours and 21 minutes, triumphing over the prior record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
In an admirable display of sportsmanship and camaraderie, Baci took to X to extend her congratulations to Fisher.
Her post read, “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!”
