Governor Nasir El-Rufai made a series of appointments on Friday.
He named a former Managing Director of the defunct Alpha Merchant Bank, Jimi Lawal as special adviser on Investment Promotion.
The governor also named Muyiwa Adekeye, a former editor of The News magazine, as his special adviser on Media and Publicity, while Uba Sani, a former special assistant to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo will serve as Gov. El-Rufai’s special adviser on political affairs.
The appointments were contained in a statement by Gov. El-Rufai’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan.
Other appointments by Gov. El-Rufai include Aishatu Kumbo Mohammed as the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice; and Dr. Abdulkadir Kassim as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Musa Abu Sheyin was also named as the Deputy Chief of Staff (Office of the Deputy Governor); Mohammed Sani Suleiman was appointed as Special Adviser, Legal; and Colonel Yakubu Yusuf (rtd) as Coordinator, Operation Yaki.
