The Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, has released its latest ranking placing Argentina still retaining its top position.
Nigeria also moved up to the 67th position in the latest Fifa global rankings.
The Eagles remain the sixteenth ranked African side behind Algeria, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon, Congo DR, Cape Verde, Mali, Congo, South Africa, Uganda and Guinea.
In July’s grading, the Super Eagles dropped nine places to 70th – their poorest drop in 2016.
The next Fifa/Coca-Cola world ranking will be published on 15 September 2016.
