Cesc Fabregas has reached an agreement to join Serie A giants AC Milan when the summer window opens, according to reports in Italy.
Fabregas has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season to help Antonio Conte’s side move towards a domestic double.
But despite contributing four goals and seven assists in the Premier League, the experienced Spain midfielder has predominantly been used from the bench.
Fabregas was strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window, with Italian outfit AC Milan said to be plotting a deal.
And Gazzetta dello Sport say the club have revived their interest in Fabregas, making contact with the 29-year-old over a summer switch.
It is claimed Milan, who are currently sixth in Serie A, have reached an agreement with Fabregas and will secure a deal for the player in the coming months.
Chelsea, who are seven points clear at the top of the table, travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Sunday.
Conte and Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho have clashed previously but the former Italy manager has played down the suggestion of a feud between the pair.
