Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and founder of Tesla Inc., disclosed that Twitter will be implementing temporary read limits to address concerns surrounding data manipulation.

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chairman of Twitter, Musk took to the platform to reveal the new restrictions, shedding light on the measures being taken.

In his tweet, Musk stated, “To address extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits.”

The tweet continued, “Verified accounts are limited to reading 6,000 posts per day. Unverified accounts to 600 posts per day. New unverified accounts to 300 per day.”
