The ongoing feud between Nigerian musicians Eedris Abdulkareem and Burna Boy has taken a contentious turn as Abdulkareem responds to Burna Boy’s recent comments, accusing him of wishing him dead.

The exchange began when Burna Boy reacted to unreleased podcast comments by Abdulkareem, expressing disapproval of the veteran singer.

Burna Boy went on to criticize those who donated money for Abdulkareem’s medical bills during a kidney transplant in 2022.

In a counter-reaction posted on his Instagram page, Abdulkareem addressed Burna Boy’s comments, describing them as “truly saddening and very disappointing.”

He expressed his dismay at Burna Boy making fun of his health crisis and blaming people who contributed to his medical expenses, deeming it “very shameful.”

Abdulkareem announced his intention to respond to Burna Boy through music, stating, “I will reply through the only medium that I have… and that is music; so I will be dropping my heartfelt response via a single aptly named ‘Essay to Burna Boy’ in a fortnight.”
