The Management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo State has issued a directive to suspend the staff salaries and all financial requests from Deans of Faculty and Heads of Department. The decision, as conveyed in a statement signed by the university’s Acting Registrar, Ambrose E. Odiase, has taken immediate effect.

Okay.ng  learnt that the reason behind this suspension is the non-compliance of some Deans of Faculty and Heads of Department in submitting result files, as well as the slow pace of uploading 2020/2021 sessional results to the University’s portal (Kofa). This failure or slow pace has had implications for the activation of the current 2022/2023 academic session on the Kofa platform.

According to Otunba Mike Aladenika, the institution’s Head of Corporate Communication and Protocol, the management is deeply concerned about the backlog of unuploaded results and its adverse impact on the students’ overall progress. As a result, the management has taken a firm stance to ensure that things are done correctly and in a timely manner.

Addressing the issue of processing transcripts, Aladenika acknowledged the scandalous nature of this process within the institution. To address the matter, the management has directed the ICT Directorate to digitize all students’ academic records that are not yet captured on the Kofa platform.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the management is resolute in its pursuit of positive changes and will not tolerate any resistance from within or outside the system. These actions have the full support of the institution’s Special Intervention Team.

By taking these measures, the Management of Ambrose Alli University is striving to enhance efficiency, transparency, and overall academic progress within the institution.
