Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, in response to his deputy’s gubernatorial ambition, highlighted the role of millions of PDP supporters in determining leadership choices.

Speaking after a meeting with Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, Obaseki discussed PDP Governor’s Forum matters, touching on the current state of the nation.

Regarding his relationship with Deputy Philip Shaibu, Obaseki affirmed the latter’s right to contest. He stressed that the party and its members would decide the flag bearer for the upcoming election, implying that his support alone would not determine Shaibu’s candidacy.

Expressing concern over the country’s hardships, Obaseki called for concerted efforts among leaders to alleviate citizens’ suffering and counter rising food prices. He underscored the urgency for action to tackle Nigeria’s challenges while advocating for unity among PDP governors.
