The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has cautioned against night movements due to the increased risk of deadly crashes.
Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed highlighted poor visibility, driver fatigue, excessive speed, and the risk of falling asleep at the wheel as dangers of night journey.
The warning follows two recent fatal accidents that occurred at night, resulting in 55 deaths.
The FRSC Boss emphasized that night crashes are more fatal than daytime ones and urged drivers to plan their journeys during daylight hours.
While the FRSC cannot ban night travel, Mohammed advised Nigerians to reconsider their travel schedules to avoid accidents and potential delays in rescue operations.
