The family of late Alhaji Aminu Dantata, the prominent Nigerian businessman and elder statesman, has confirmed that preparations are underway to fulfill his long-standing wish of being buried in Madinah, the holy city in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement released by the family, they disclosed that efforts are ongoing to secure approval from Saudi authorities to transport his remains from Abu Dhabi, where he passed away, to Madinah for burial.

“Late Alh. Aminu Dantata’s long-term wish was to be laid to rest in the Holy Prophet’s city of Madinah,” the family said.

However, they noted that if the approval process becomes unduly prolonged, alternative arrangements would be made to return his body to Kano for burial in line with Islamic rites.

“Arrangements for approval from Saudi authorities to move the corpse from Abu Dhabi to Madinah are still ongoing. If it prolongs, the corpse will be brought back to Kano for burial.”

The family concluded by praying for Allah’s mercy upon the late patriarch.

“May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannah-tul-Firdaws. Ameen.”

Okay.ng reports that Alhaji Aminu Dantata was one of Nigeria’s most respected industrialists and philanthropists, remembered for his vast contributions to commerce, Islamic scholarship, and humanitarian causes. His passing has drawn tributes from across Nigeria
