The Taraba State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) youth wing has declared a three-day fasting and prayer session to seek divine intervention for rainfall in the state. The move is in response to the persistent lack of rainfall, which has negatively impacted farm crops, causing some to wither.
The fasting and prayer session, slated to begin on Monday, aims to address the challenges facing the state and seek God’s intervention. The CAN youth wing chairman, Ephesian Jesse, urged all Christian youths across the state to participate in the spiritual exercise.
In a statement, Jesse emphasized the need for collective prayer to right the wrongs that may have contributed to the lack of rainfall. He also called for prayers for churches facing challenges, the state governor, Agbu Kefas, and his family, seeking divine guidance, protection, and good health.
The fasting and prayer session is a collective effort by the Christian community to seek a solution to the state’s rainfall woes and other challenges.
