Many villagers were reportedly killed by Boko Haram terrorists including many farmers, houses and shops were set ablaze at Mafa village in Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State on Sunday.
The attack was confirmed by security agencies on Monday, details of the attack and casualty figures could not be ascertain by security agencies.
The village was attacked by insurgents around 4pm as residents were journeying home from farms.
475 households displaced and two persons were murdered last month in a Boko Haram attack affecting over 2,390 people in four communities within the Mafa ward.
Report has it that many houses were set ablaze by insurgents.
The attack was confirmed by Brigadier -General Dahiru Abdulsalam (Rtd), the Special Adviser to the Yobe State Governor on Security Matters.
He stated that military personnel had been deployed in the area and that there is calm and peace in the land.
