Singer, Lady Gaga and Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney have ended their engagement, People and E! report.
The couple began dating in the summer (July) of 2011 after he played her love interest in the video for You and I. Kinney popped the question with a heart-shaped diamond ring
on Valentine’s Day 2015.
According to Gaga’s Instagram account, she’s doing charity work in Mexico. Her posts from Tuesday make no mention of Kinney.
It’s a similar story over on his page, where he was seen celebrating his birthday on July 15, with no sign of her. In fact, you have to go back several months to find a photo of them together.
USA TODAY reached out to representatives for both but they were not immediately available for comment.
The couple were supportive of each other’s careers. Gaga told People that her fiancé turned down an invitation to be a presenter at the Oscars to keep the spotlight on her performance of the Oscar-nominated song ‘ Til It Happens to You. Kinney told Meredith Vieira that although it was awkward to watch Gaga’s sex scenes in American Horror Story, he “couldn’t be more proud” of her foray into acting. And she was a frequent guest on the set of his NBC drama.
Kinney, 35, inspired the otherwise always camera-ready Gaga, 30, to take part in a polar-bear swim and has been cited as a factor in the New Yorker’s decision to finally learn how to drive. (She got her license earlier this month.) They also famously posed nude together on a canvas.
