Popular Nollywood actress, Ronke Odusanya, has shared details of her separation from her former husband, Saheed Olarewaju, popularly known as Jago.

Speaking in an interview with her colleague Bimpe Akintunde, Odusanya revealed the impact of rumors spread by a close friend, which ultimately affected her marriage.

The actress disclosed that a trusted friend falsely informed Jago that she planned to end their marriage to pursue a life of prostitution.

The friend allegedly claimed Odusanya had taken their daughter, Fife, to spend the night at a senator’s house, casting further doubt on her character.

“A friend of mine told my partner that I wanted to leave him and go into prostitution,” Odusanya shared. “They said I went to sleep in a senator’s house with our daughter, Fife. I was shocked when he told me.”

Odusanya explained that she quickly provided proof of her whereabouts at the time. “I sent him a picture of where I was,” she said, adding that she had recorded a video with time and date as evidence.

Reflecting on the financial and emotional toll of the separation, Odusanya described how she struggled with limited resources following the split.

“I had nothing when we separated; all my jewelry was taken away, and I fainted,” she recounted.

“I cried so much that day because I didn’t have up to N10,000 in my account. I wondered where to start, but I decided this was it.”
