Insecurity: Police, vigilantes rescue 10 women, and Child from Gando forest in Zamfara

Okay.ng learnt that ten women and a one-yr-vintage baby kidnapped by bandits during invasion of Manye village in Anka nearby government vicinity of Zamfara state have been rescued after 5 days in captivity of their abductors.

The women and the baby who had been abducted on 17 October had been rescued by police operatives at Gando forest in Bukkuyum local government area of Zamfara state

in line with spokesperson of Police in Zamfara, SP Muhammad Shehu, the rescue resulted from an intensive seek-and-rescue operation at Gando forest.

He brought that the ladies were rescued via police tactical operatives, running with nearby vigilantes with the help of the sole Administrator of Anka neighborhood authorities location.

The police spokesperson stated, “On Monday, Oct. 17, a collection of bandits invaded Manye village in Anka nearby authorities region of the state and kidnapped 10 women and a one-year-vintage baby to Gando wooded area in Bukkuyum local authorities region.

Upon receipt of the record, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Kolo Yusuf deployed reinforcement of police tactical operatives to Anka Divisional Police workplace and neighborhood vigilantes for the rescue operation.

“The rescue mission was successfully achieved with the total assist of stakeholders, in particular the sole Administrator of Anka local government location,’’ Shehu stated.

He added that the rescued sufferers were taken to a health facility for scientific exams, debriefed with the aid of the police and handed over to their relatives members.
