Niger State 2023: APC picks Garba as running mate to Bago

Comrade Yakubu Garba has been announced as the deputy Governorship candidate to Hon. Umar Bago ahead of the general elections in 2023.

The party made the disclosure in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Musa D. Sarkindaji in Minna.

Comrade Garba is currently the state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.
Hon. Jikantoro explained that the decision was reached by the party after wide consultations with relevant stakeholders in the state.

The Chairman, Niger State All Progressives Congress, (APC), Hon. Haliru Zakari Jikantoro stated,

“The party made wider consultations with the critical stakeholders to have arrived at bringing in the State Chairman of National Labour Congress (NLC) Yakubu Garba, as the deputy.

“The decision is in line with the track-records of Comrade Yakubu Garba within the confines of state civil service.”

He also described the decision as, “good thinking, good combination and good products to the state.”

Mr Jikantoro called on Nigerlites to give the party and candidates maximum acceptability in order to move Niger State to the greater heights.
